Fujian Medical University

Introduction

Fujian Medical University (FJMU) was founded in 1937. With the mission of creating and nurturing a diverse community of elites who are "diligent, prudent, truth-seeking and innovative", for over 70 years, it has developed an integral education system offering bachelor's, master's and doctor's degree programs. In 2003, FJMU was approved by Fujian Provincial People's Government as one of the key universities for priority development. Now, it consists of Shangjie campus and Taijiang campus，covering an area of approximately 87 hectares with a floor space of 400,000 square meters.

FJMU currently provides 25 bachelor programs, including Clinical Medicine (7-Year Program and 5-Year Program), Stomatology, Preventive Medicine, Medical Laboratory Tests and Analysis, Anesthesiology, Medical Imaging, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Utilities Management, Social Work, etc.

Application requirements and documents

Undergraduate requirement:

• non-Chinese citizens over 18 and under 30 years old
• with a senior high school diploma and above, good school performance, good physical health (without color weakness, color blindness)
• qualified English language proficiency for medical majors and no breach of Chinese laws.

Documents

• Originalvalid passport ( pages with photo and address)
• Highest diploma/degree /pre-graduation certificate (notarized scanned copy).Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
• Transcripts of the most advanced studies (notarized scanned copy)
• Recommendation letter from school
• Economic assurance or financial proof
• Other attachments (If any): eg. physical examination record forforeigner, No-criminal record certificate, English proficiency certificate, HSK report, study plan, etc.

Graduate requirement

• Master students: non-Chinese citizens with a bachelor’s degree in medicine or other majors related to medicine
• PhD students: non-Chinese citizens with a master’s degree

• Highest diploma/degree /pre-graduation certificate (notarized scanned copy). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
• Transcripts of the most advanced studies (notarized scanned copy)
• Detailed study plan in China (no less than 800 words)
• Two letters of Recommendation by professors.

• Published academic papers or other academic achievements ( Documents required for Doctoral programs)
• Other attachments (If any): eg. HSK score report, physical examination record for foreigner, No-criminal record certificate, English proficiencyc ertificate, etc.

Scholarship

CSC：Exempt from all the fees and provide living allowance: CNY 3000 /month for masters and CNY 3500/month for doctors.
FGS: Exempt from tuition + accommodation +application fee.
